We are using FAS980 from Network Appliance™
Primary Storage Product The FAS980 product
is ideally suited for the demanding performance and
scalability requirements of mission-critical enterprise
applications. The FAS900 series delivers some of the
fastest response times ever recorded on the SPEC SFS97
benchmark, with response times of less than 1ms. FAS980
systems, the ultra high end systems within the FAS900
series, provide the optimal combination of extremely
fast response times with the very high-throughput that
distinguishes this product line
Bandwidth Availability on

Rediff's Servers are Co Located in VSNL's IDC in Prabhadevi,
Mumbai. Nearest point to the backbone connectivity The
bandwidth is open up to 1000 Mbps fiber connections,
dedicated to rediff.com
Server Backup Policy :
1. NetApp OS provides integrated automatic RAID manager,
daily Snapshots.
2. Apart from this we are also archiving the mail boxes
of enterprise pro customers for 2 weeks.
Mail Restoration Policy :
We keep daily snapshot of the mailboxes, back up for
14 days, which can be restored on demand during this
period.
Spam & Virus Policy (Tools /Techniques) :
We have three levels of SPAM filters installed on our
mail servers:
We check the mails before SMTP connection using real
time block list.
At SMTP level we check the mail using our SPAM database
(ID and domain check) and also check for virus signature
and if matched, Mails are discarded.
Just before delivery we check for content of the mails
and rank the mail and allow or discard the mail based
on the score of the mail.
Anti-Virus - F-Secure Virus protection :
To protect your computer, a facility to scan
all attachments, when uploaded or downloaded using webmail.
